Nuevitas port is the closest link with the tourist attraction Santa Lucia Beach, at 80km of the central-eastern city of Camagüey. It has its four facilities ready to receive foreign visitors again after the passing of Hurricane Irma on September 9.
The port is experiencing an investment project valued at 40 million dollars, which will allow in the coming years to support the cruise business in a region that has an extensive program of construction of hotel properties for tourism development in Cruz Key.

Diverse North American companies like Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. arrive in Cuba in the modality of cruise ships; previously others as Carnival Cruise Line, Pearl Seas Cruise, and Norwegian Cruise Line Holding NCLH were operating.
